About · Checkout Ninja

We build one thing.
Shopify Plus checkout blocks.

Checkout Ninja launched on the Shopify App Store in November 2023. We build one thing — checkout blocks for Shopify Plus — and nothing else. No outside funding, no paid acquisition; the blocks lift checkout numbers, and merchants tell other merchants.

Our story

Started with one merchant. Stayed with merchants.

Checkout Ninja launched on the Shopify App Store in November 2023. It started the way most of our blocks still start: a Shopify Plus merchant needed something at checkout that Shopify's native flow couldn't do, so we built it as a block. They asked for another. Then another.

Every block we've shipped since came from a real merchant request. The library reflects what Plus merchants actually need at the pay step — nothing imagined. We grow because the blocks work, and merchants tell other merchants.

Checkout Ninja is built and maintained by Nex App Studio — a product team based in Sharjah, UAE.

Timeline

From launch to a 27-block library.

    01 / 04

    Launched on the App Store

Checkout Ninja went live on the Shopify App Store in November 2023 — Plus-only from day one. The first blocks came straight from real merchant requests.

  2. 2024
    02 / 04

    Deluxe APIs launched

Address validation, gift-card validation, hide payment methods — moved from one-off custom builds to platform features available to every merchant on the Deluxe tier.

  3. 2025
    03 / 04

    Word-of-mouth growth

Pure word-of-mouth, no paid acquisition. Most installs came from existing merchants telling other Plus merchants — and a 5.0 App Store rating across every review left.

    13 templates · 27 blocks

The library reached its 27th block and 13 pre-built templates. New blocks ship every quarter, driven by merchant requests.

What we believe

Four principles. Held since day one.

01

Plus only.

We don't support Basic/Shopify/Advanced. The optimization opportunities are at Plus scale. Trying to serve every tier dilutes the focus.

02

No paid acquisition.

We grow when merchants tell other merchants. If the blocks aren't good enough to drive word-of-mouth, we'd rather fix the blocks than buy ads.

03

Block, then API.

We ship blocks (visible UI) before we ship APIs (invisible engine). Merchants validate the use case in the UI first, then we promote it to a platform feature.

04

Survive theme upgrades.

Every block tests against the latest Shopify Plus update before we ship. We've never had a block break during a merchant theme upgrade. Knock wood.
