How to add Gift Message to Shopify checkout
Install Checkout Ninja from the Shopify App Store, open the checkout editor, and drag the Gift Message block into the section where you want it. Then configure it in three steps. No theme code, no checkout.liquid, and it survives every Shopify update because it runs on Checkout Extensibility.
Add the block
Drop in a Gift Message. Set the label (default: “Gift message”).
Enable price-hide
When a gift message is entered, prices are suppressed from the packing slip for that order.
Test the packing slip
Place a test order, confirm the message renders and prices are hidden.
